AUDIO RESEARCH COUNCIL – STUDIES NO. 1

Audio Research council is a new alias from an artists who also works as Anderson, Audio Reflex and Kineticat, amongst other aliases. Studies 1 is the first album form the project and it comes on Wex, steeped in dub, techno, acid and house. After an opening track that sinks you into gurgling and out there synth modulations, ‘Predictions’ is a lush bit of throwback downtempo with leggy drum work. There is crispy electro-techno on ‘ARC Anthem’ and ‘Proven Method’ then brings new age breaks and tropical sound effects before to closing tunes explore mystic tribal acid and gurgling dub techno. It plays out like a perfectly distilled DJ set, too.
